Men's Mental Health
Many men suffer from symptoms and diagnoses that are unique to the male population but go unnoticed and untreated.
For example, in our work with male clients we have found many are struggling with career issues such as: trauma associated with a co-worker or boss, a job loss or being passed up for a promotion, feeling overwhelmed in their role as primary breadwinner, or feeling stuck as they struggle to know which career path to take.
These issues may result in weight loss/gain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, or just general overwhelm as they try to "keep it all together." These issues may also be compounded as the client struggles with other diagnoses such as ADHD, OCD, or a lack of confidence.

Other common concerns may include sexual dysfunction as stress or past trauma affects their sexual health in the form of: erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, low libido, or sexual compulsions or addictions. These are issues that are often not talked about as some men may feel shame or feel that they should be able to fix their problems themselves.
Many men struggle in their relationships, whether they be with family, friends, or partners, as they may lack the communication skills necessary to navigate their interactions and to effectively problem-solve issues. They may also be affected by unresolved traumas that are causing strain on themselves and their relationships.

Lastly, we find that a lot of men are lacking support in their social circles and find themselves often isolated and lonely as they struggle with their problems on their own.

Through assessment and treatment, we will be able to effectively help you to identify problem areas, create measurable goals, and make the changes necessary to get you moving on your path to happiness and fulfillment.
