Welcome to

 The Great Men

Male Retreat

In April of 2024 I woke to a phone call I never anticipated receiving. My brother had died earlier that morning from an undiagnosed disease. No one in our circle of friends and family could have predicted that he would leave us so soon. No one was prepared. Following his death, and through the grief that followed, I came to realize that he had been my role model for a man of chivalry. A man that was capable of what C.S. Lewis coined "the double demand." He was "blood and iron" in defense of righteous causes yet "an unobtrusive gentleman" in gentler settings.

I have created this retreat in honor of my brother and all of "The Great Men" out there that embody modern-day chivalry or desire to do so.  Through the days spent amongst a brotherhood of like-minded individuals you will be trained in some, or all, of the Five Attributes of "The Great Men." Inspired by great men in the past these Five Attributes will help you to become the man that you always hoped to be: A Man of Strength, A Man of Discipline, A Man of Wisdom, A Man of Love, and A Man of Chivalry. You will not only come to serve yourself better, you will also serve your family, friends, and your communities with greater purpose and ability.

Amongst the chaos and uncertainty of the medieval ages, it was great men, the chevaliers, that changed the course of lives through their kindness and bravery. You will be this kind of Great Men and together you will change the world.
