Before we can finalize your booking, you must sign the following policy agreement and waiver acknowledging you have read and agree to it.

The Great Men Retreat Policies and Liability Waiver

For the purpose of this policy “the company” refers to Safe Passage Counseling, LLC

Electronic Devices

To encourage focus and the assimilation of program material, the use of electronic devices, including cell phones, is strongly discouraged. Electronic devices may be used at the discretion of participants during “free time” and in the event of emergencies.

Alcohol/Drug Use

Due to the challenging nature of the retreat, physically, mentally, and emotionally, the consumption of alcohol will not be permitted during the retreat. The use of non-prescription drugs will not be permitted during the retreat. Any participants found in possession of these substances or who are believed to have consumed these substances will be dismissed from the retreat without a refund.

Payment

A down payment of 50% of the cost of the retreat is due at the time of the booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Cancellations/Refunds

A full refund will be issued to participants that cancel within 24 hours of payment.  To request a cancellation please contact us at 801-449-1365. Online cancellations are not available. "The company” will not return any payment applied to a booking that is cancelled more than 24 hours after the booking is made. If the retreat is cancelled by “the company” a full refund will be issued to participants. Retreat cancellation may occur up to 1 week prior to the retreat. If a guest is asked to leave the retreat due to a violation of retreat policies no refund will be issued. Transfer of bookings will be permitted only if the new participant agrees to and signs the policy and liability waiver and the payment for the retreat has been paid in full.

Behavior and Conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is aligned with the vision and motto of The Great Men retreat. Abuse of any kind towards self or others is not permitted for the duration of the retreat and will be grounds for dismissal without a refund. Proper use of the retreat accommodations, vehicles, furniture, and any other property related to the retreat will be expected and enforced. Any misuse of this property will result in dismissal without a refund and the participant will be responsible for any requirements of “the company” or the property owner for remediation of any damaged incurred.

Health and Safety

At least one on-site staff member will be trained in CPR and basic medical skills at the retreat, however, emergency personnel will not be present. A health questionnaire is required to be filled out and signed by each participant prior to the beginning of the retreat to ensure adequate health for the activities involved. It is the responsibility of the participants to monitor themselves for and to avoid any activity that could result in medical injuries or emergencies. It is the responsibility of the participants to have in their possession any medications that are necessary for them to maintain good health and are responsible for the proper storing and administration of said medications. An on-site psychotherapist will be available for mental health services at the request of the participants.

Transportation

It is the responsibility of the participants to provide their own transportation to and from the retreat. If the participant has need of anything that is not provided by the retreat, it is the responsibility of the participant to provide their own transportation to acquire the item or service.

I understand that there are inherent risks involved in my participation in the retreat. These risks could include, but are not limited to, decreased health, injury, illness, and/or death. I understand that these risks may occur as a result of my own actions or the actions of others.
